Dean Jobb is an Inglis Professor and Cohort Director of the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction program at the University of King’s College, School of Journalism, Writing & Publishing. He has been a faculty member since 2004, teaching courses like Nonfiction Mentorship II and Nonfiction Writing Craft I. Education: BA (Hons) from Mount Allison University and MA from Saint Mary’s University. Research focuses on true crime writing, narrative nonfiction, media law, and Canadian/American history. He has authored eight nonfiction books, including bestsellers like Empire of Deception and A Gentleman and a Thief . Award-winning author with honors such as the Crime Writers of Canada Award, Evelyn Richardson Award, and CrimeCon CLUE Award. His work appears in Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine , Canada’s History , and others. Former journalist for the Halifax Chronicle Herald , three-time Atlantic Journalism Award winner, and National Newspaper Award nominee. Active in literary communities, contributing to Chicago Review of Books and reviewing for international publications.
