Paul Fricke

Paul Fricke is an Adjunct Professor at Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD), specializing in Comics education since 2012. A professional cartoonist and illustrator for over 35 years, he co-created the comic book series Trollords and contributed to DC Comics. He has produced educational, historical, and health-related comics, as well as thousands of broadcast television storyboards.

His works include the children's picture book Night of the Bedbugs (2010) and the ongoing online graphic novel Blood Orange. Fricke founded Blue Moon Studios with his wife Mary in 1993, focusing on illustration and creative projects.

Research interests span visual storytelling techniques, the intersection of text and imagery, and the evolution of digital comics platforms. His illustration work blends humor with narrative depth, seen across print and screen media.
