Joshua Newton is a Professor of Marketing and Discipline Group Chair at Deakin University's Deakin Business School within the Faculty of Business and Law. He holds a PhD in Health Psychology from Monash University and has held academic roles including Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, and Senior Research Fellow at Deakin. His research focuses on market-based solutions for social goods in sustainability and public health, including renewable energy technologies, community engagement in large-scale initiatives, and nutrition/physical activity interventions. He co-leads the Better Consumption Lab and has received awards for research excellence and contributions to university infrastructure.
