Nigel Hooper is a Professor of Cell Biology at the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health, University of Manchester , where he serves as Vice Dean for Research and Innovation and Director of Dementia Research. His career spans over three decades of leadership in biochemistry and cell biology, with a focus on neurodegenerative diseases. 30+ years of experience in neurodegenerative and cardiovascular research Published 243 papers with an h-index of 55 Secured over £15 million in research funding His research explores proteases, GPI-anchored proteins, lipid rafts, and their roles in Alzheimer's disease and prion biology.
