Edward R. Carr is a Professor in Sustainability and Social Justice at Clark University , where he directs the Humanitarian Response and Development Lab (HURDL) and is affiliated with the George Perkins Marsh Institute. His work bridges geography and anthropology , focusing on climate change adaptation , livelihoods , resilience , and gender equity . Carr has contributed to global environmental assessments, including the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report and the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment , and currently serves on the Scientific and Technical Advisory Panel of the Global Environment Facility .
