Edward R. Carr is a Professor in Sustainability and Social Justice at Clark University, where he directs the Humanitarian Response and Development Lab (HURDL) and is affiliated with the George Perkins Marsh Institute. His work bridges geography and anthropology, focusing on climate change adaptation, livelihoods, resilience, and gender equity. Carr has contributed to global environmental assessments, including the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report and the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment, and currently serves on the Scientific and Technical Advisory Panel of the Global Environment Facility.
