Cornelia-Adriana Baciu is a Lecturer at the School of Law and Government, Dublin City University. She holds an MA in Politics and European Studies from the University of Konstanz (with exchange at Jawaharlal Nehru University, India) and a BA in Political Sciences from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University (exchange at Konstanz). Her research focuses on civil-military relations, EU security strategies, and military transformation in fragile states, particularly Pakistan. She has held prestigious fellowships including the Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship and ZEIT-Stiftung Hamburg pre-doctoral fellowship.
Her research examines hybrid security approaches, EU-NATO cooperation, and the impact of external interventions on military institutions. Notable awards include the VEUK Prize (2013) for academic excellence. She has presented at major conferences such as the ECPR in Hamburg and EISA in Prague, and published in journals like the Green European Journal and Cork Online Law Review. Teaching includes modules on research methods and international relations at undergraduate levels.
