Stella Ladi is a Professor in Public Policy at Queen Mary University of London and an Associate Professor at Panteion University, Athens. She holds affiliations with the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) and the Hellenic Observatory at the London School of Economics (LSE). Her research focuses on crisis management (Eurozone and pandemic crises), expert roles in public policy, public administration reforms, and EU governance. She earned her PhD in 2002 from the University of York.
Her work spans academic publications, grants (e.g., leading projects on evidence-informed policymaking and vaccination policies), and supervision of doctoral students. Key publications include Capitalising on Constraint (shortlisted for the UACES Book Award 2022) and numerous articles on EU-member state dynamics, austerity politics, and pandemic governance. She actively engages in media commentary on Greek and European politics, including analyses of election outcomes and crisis management strategies.
