Andreas Lampis is an Associate Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at UCLan Cyprus since 2018. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Birmingham (2018) and a BSc (Hons) in Physics from the University of Bath (2013). His research focuses on Quantum and Classical Optics, Cavity Quantum Electrodynamics, Quantum Technologies, and STEM education. He also teaches Applied Physics modules for undergraduate students. Education: PhD Physics, University of Birmingham (2018) BSc (Hons) Physics, University of Bath (2013) Research interests span advanced optics and quantum systems, including work on cold atoms in ring cavities and nonreciprocal lasing. His publications in journals like Physical Review Letters and New Journal of Physics reflect this expertise. He has received EPSRC funding for his PhD and quantum technology research. Key roles: Co-founder and president of Cypriot Scientists and Engineers (CySE) since 2014. Awards include the EPSRC PhD scholarship and funding from the UK National Quantum Technology Hub.
