Andreas Lampis

Andreas Lampis is an Associate Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at UCLan Cyprus since 2018. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Birmingham (2018) and a BSc (Hons) in Physics from the University of Bath (2013). His research focuses on Quantum and Classical Optics, Cavity Quantum Electrodynamics, Quantum Technologies, and STEM education. He also teaches Applied Physics modules for undergraduate students.

Research interests span advanced optics and quantum systems, including work on cold atoms in ring cavities and nonreciprocal lasing. Key roles: Co-founder and president of Cypriot Scientists and Engineers (CySE) since 2014.

Awards include the EPSRC PhD scholarship and funding from the UK National Quantum Technology Hub.
