Prof. Dr. Nadja Wallaszkovits is a Professor for Conservation and Restoration of New Media and Digital Information at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart , where she also serves as Vice-Rector for Research and Young Talent Development. Her career spans over two decades in audio engineering, digital archiving, and conservation science, with leadership roles at the Austrian Academy of Sciences’ Phonogram Archive and NOA GmbH. PhD in Philology (2017), University of Vienna Diploma in Audio Engineering (1989), SAE Vienna Research Interests include: Digital preservation of audiovisual heritage Chemical and mechanical restoration of cellulose-based media Audio signal processing and authenticity standards Field recording technology history Article Trends reveal expertise in cellulose acetate degradation detection, noise reduction algorithms, hybrid modeling for film conservation, and international archival guidelines. Her work bridges technical precision with cultural heritage ethics.
