Prof. Samuel Greiff holds the Chair of Educational Monitoring & Effectiveness at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) since October 2024. He leads the Center for International Educational Studies (ZIB) and oversees Germany's PISA implementation. Previously, he directed the 'Educational Psychology & Artificial Intelligence' unit at Goethe University Frankfurt and the 'Cognition, Learning, & Educational Assessment' group at the University of Luxembourg.
His research focuses on systemic educational challenges, AI integration in education, and 21st-century skill development through international studies like PISA and PIAAC. Key awards include the OECD Exceptional Innovation Award (2014) and ATTRACT Fellowship (2012-2018).
Greiff's work bridges psychological research with policy, emphasizing data-driven reforms for equity and efficiency. His team analyzes cognitive processes via log-file data from computer-based assessments, uncovering strategies in problem-solving and skill application.
