Francesca Borgonovi is a leading scholar in comparative education policy and skills analysis. She serves as Head of Skills Analysis at the OECD Centre for Skills and holds an Honorary Professorship at University College London's Social Research Institute. Previously, she has held academic positions at Sciences Po Paris, London School of Economics, and University of California, Berkeley.

Her research focuses on cross-national disparities in educational outcomes, digital technology's impact on skills, migrant integration, student well-being, and the role of social capital in education and health. She has conducted extensive work on PISA and PIAAC assessments.
