Lisa Spitzer

Dr. Lisa Spitzer is a Researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Psychology (ZPID), specializing in metascience, open science, preregistration, and eye-tracking methodologies. She received her PhD in Psychology (Dr. rer. nat) from the University of Trier in 2024 and holds an M.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Cologne (2020). Her work focuses on enhancing scientific reproducibility through structured preregistration frameworks and exploring the ethical and methodological challenges in psychological research.

Her research interests include advancing open science practices, analyzing researcher motivations and obstacles in preregistration adoption, and evaluating remote eye-tracking technologies. Spitzer has contributed to community-driven initiatives such as developing the Psychological Research Preregistration-Quantitative (PRP-QUANT) Template and organizing workshops to promote preregistration adoption globally.
