Mark S Moehle is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the University of Florida. His research focuses on understanding cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, and Lewy Body Dementia. He leads the Moehle Laboratory, which employs pharmacological, electrophysiological, and behavioral techniques to investigate therapeutic strategies targeting muscarinic acetylcholine receptors (M4) and LRRK2 pathways. Moehle holds a PhD from Vanderbilt University and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Florida. He teaches courses including Pharmacotherapeutics I, Principles of Pharmacology, and Neuroscience seminars. Active grants include studies on α-synuclein pathology, cholinergic mechanisms in Lewy Body Dementia, and M4 receptor modulation in Parkinson’s disease. His work bridges basic science and translational research, aiming to develop novel treatments for movement disorders.
