Dr. Rebecca Pieniazek is a Lecturer in Organisational Psychology and Behaviour at the Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds, where she is affiliated with the Management and Organisations Department. She is actively involved in research and teaching, contributing to the Socio-Technical Centre and the Workplace Behaviour Research Centre. She serves as Deputy Director for the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership’s Wellbeing Health and Communities pathway and is a member of the editorial board for the Human Relations Journal.

Her research centers on organisational and personal resilience, goal conflict, motivation, employee well-being, and sustainability in the workplace. She employs both quantitative and qualitative methods and contributes to theory development and methodology. Her work often explores how individuals and teams manage multiple goals and stressors at work, particularly in relation to health and environmental sustainability.
Dr. Pieniazek has secured competitive research grants from ESRC and UKRI, including a project on sustainable productivity in SMEs and another on co-designing goal interdependency methods for sustainability transformation. Her research has practical applications across private, public, and third-sector organisations.
She has received multiple teaching and research awards, including the Leeds University Business School Dean’s Award (2024) and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (2023). Her contributions to academic service include editorial roles and leadership in doctoral training and research strategy groups.
