Nicola Smith is an Associate Professor in Organizational Behaviour at Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds. Since joining in 2014, she teaches and tutors across all levels with a focus on Organizational Behaviour modules.
Her research examines personal goal dynamics including:
- Goal disengagement processes in professional contexts
- Psychological adaptation during career transitions
- Retirement planning behaviors
- Workplace motivation mechanisms
Administrative roles include serving as MSc Management Programme Director (2016-2025), Deputy Departmental Director of Student Education (2020-2024), and Co-Lead for the Enhancing Management Learning subject group. She currently supervises undergraduate/postgraduate dissertations and PhD candidates through the Workplace Behaviour Research Centre.
