Simon M Smith

Dr. Simon M Smith is Principal Lecturer and Subject Lead for Business, Management and Enterprise at Oxford Brookes Business School. His research examines organizational ambidexterity, Sustainable Development Goals implementation, and responsible management education. With £150,000+ in research funding from international bodies including ACU and Movetia, Dr. Smith leads projects on sustainability education and intergenerational workforce dynamics.

Current research investigates Gen Z workplace expectations, baby boomer retention strategies, and paradox resolution in responsible management education. As Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Organization Theory & Behavior and Associate Editor for Employee Relations, he advances scholarship on sustainable business practices.

Dr. Smith teaches business ethics, organizational analysis, and dissertation supervision across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. As Chair of the British Academy of Management's Sustainable and Responsible Business SIG, he coordinates international research networks on sustainability implementation.
