Dr. Siqi Wang is a Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management at Aston Business School (Aston University), part of the College of Business and Social Sciences. She joined in September 2023 and specializes in research areas such as work-family balance, proactive behaviors, employee well-being, and work engagement. Her teaching includes courses on Organisational Behaviour at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as Global Working and Quantitative Research Methods.
Dr. Wang holds an MSc in Human Resource Management from the University of Edinburgh (2014) and a PhD in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviours from the University of Bath. Her research focuses on exploring the interplay between work and family domains, with particular emphasis on supervisor behaviors, spousal support, and the impact of digital distractions (e.g., phubbing) on employee creativity. She has collaborated internationally, including studies across ten countries examining servant leadership and contextual roles.
Her recent publications analyze strategic renewal dynamics, meta-analytic reviews of family-supportive supervisor behaviors, and the crossover effects of work-family spousal support. These works highlight her expertise in organizational psychology, cross-cultural management, and employee outcomes. Dr. Wang’s contributions bridge theoretical frameworks with practical implications for enhancing workplace well-being and organizational effectiveness.
