Michael C. Cushing is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy and director of the Ritter Planetarium at the University of Toledo. His research focuses on discovering and characterizing low-mass stars and brown dwarfs using ground- and space-based telescopes, alongside developing data reduction and analysis algorithms. His work is funded by NASA and the National Science Foundation (NSF).
