Miss Lois Nash is a Lecturer in Law (Welsh medium) at Bangor University's School of History, Law and Social Sciences. She joined the university in 2019 to pursue a PhD in Criminal Law, following an LLB from Aberystwyth University (2018) and an LPC with LLM in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Law (2022). Her research focuses on Mercy Killing and Euthanasia within Criminal Law, particularly defenses to murder. She teaches modules on Criminal Law, Evidence, and Welsh-medium courses such as Decentralization and Contemporary Issues in Criminal Law.
Her academic contributions include a 2025 article on mercy killing's legal implications and a 2021 conference paper on murder law. She actively participates in legal conferences, including the 2024 RCSL Representing Law Conference and Bangor's Youth Summit on Technology. Administrative roles include Schools Liaison Officer and Leader of Study Abroad Programs. She is affiliated with the Society for Legal Scholars (SLS), Socio-Legal Studies Association (SLSA), and the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol.
