Professor Jillian Gordon is a faculty member at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, specializing in Entrepreneurship. She holds a Professor title since 2021, previously Senior Lecturer (2016–2021) and Lecturer (2014–2016). Her research focuses on capital accumulation, digital entrepreneurship, fluid ethics, and philanthropy. She leads a Horizon 2020 project on new technology legitimization and a EU HIE project on data-driven entrepreneurship. She served as Director of Learning and Teaching (2019–2022), driving educational innovation.
Her research interests include capital recycling by high-net-worth entrepreneurs, social entrepreneurship, and the intersection of technology and ethics. She has published in journals like Journal of Business Ethics and Business History, and co-edited books on mobile communications and philanthropy. She advises PhD students and has led grants totaling over €6 million in EU funding.
