Evangelos Seretis

Evangelos Seretis is a Lecturer in Accounting at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow. He holds a PhD in financial reporting and disclosures of insurance firms, following a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Macedonia (2014) and an MSc in Banking and Finance from the International Hellenic University (2016). His research focuses on financial reporting practices, sustainability-related disclosures, and climate change reporting. He has published multiple reports on climate disclosures, biodiversity reporting, and corporate preparedness for sustainability standards.

Teaching responsibilities include Financial Accounting 1 and Advanced Financial Accounting. He has supervised doctoral students in earnings management and sustainability reporting. Grants secured include £7,740 from ACCA (2022) and £6,000 from ACCA (2024) for research collaborations. He also holds a CFA Investment Foundations Certificate (2020) and was a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Business School (2019).
