Ian Robson is a Professor (Teaching and Scholarship) of Strategic Management at the University of Dundee, where he has served as Director of Management Education since 2007. His academic career includes roles as Dean of Caledonian Business School (2005–2007), Director of the Graduate Business School at the University of St Andrews (2002–2005), and various senior teaching roles across UK institutions. He holds a PhD in Social Construction of Ethical Discourse from Newcastle University (1999) and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde (2001).
His research focuses on strategic management, ethics, institutional logics, and sustainability, particularly the circular economy. Notable contributions include works on reflexivity in leadership, dynamic capabilities in enterprise projects, and sustainable development frameworks. Robson’s expertise intersects UN Sustainable Development Goals related to responsible consumption and economic growth.
