Karen Robson is a Professor of Marketing and Associate Dean Academic at the Odette School of Business, University of Windsor. She holds a BSc in Psychology from Queen’s University, an MA in Psychology and an MBA from Simon Fraser University, and a PhD from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University (2016). Her research focuses on consumer innovation, gamification, and emerging technologies in marketing, with publications in journals like European Journal of Marketing and Psychology & Marketing. She is a Fellow of King’s College (London) Consumer and Organisational Data Analytics Research Centre and ranked among Canada’s top ten marketing scholars (Scival, 2019-2022).
Dr. Robson has authored over 30 teaching cases, including a bestselling Ivey case on Mattel’s Barbie. She serves on editorial boards for Journal of Marketing Education and Business Horizons. Her research explores creative consumption, DEI in AI, and sustainable technology safeguards. Recent work addresses Web3 interoperability, chatbot ethics, and B2B salesforce narratives.
