Howard Williams is Professor of Archaeology at the University of Chester's Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, where he has taught since 2008. His research explores mortuary practices in early medieval Britain and Scandinavia, particularly in Wales, Anglo-Saxon England, and Viking contexts. He leads modules in world archaeology, British archaeology, Viking studies, and public archaeology.
