Professor Duncan Sayer is affiliated with the University of Central Lancashire's School of Law and Policing, where he specializes in historical archaeology, early medieval cemeteries, migration, death, burial, and ethics. With over 20 years of fieldwork experience, he has led projects like the Oakington Anglo-Saxon cemetery and Ribchester Roman fort excavations. Currently, he collaborates with DNA labs at Harvard and Max Planck Institutes on ancient DNA studies, including one of Europe’s largest projects.
