Dr. Hayder A. Rasheed is Professor and Darold and Debbie Davis Cornerstone Teaching Scholar in Civil Engineering at Kansas State University. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from University of Baghdad, and Ph.D. from University of Texas at Austin.
Research expertise includes structural systems with advanced composites, reinforced/prestressed concrete behavior, and structural health monitoring. Developed analytical solutions for composite pipelines under external pressure, confinement analysis of bridge piers, and AI-enhanced damage detection systems.
Patented 'Fiber Reinforced Polymer and Metal Ductility Fuse' technology for reinforcing concrete members (2023). Authored 90+ journal papers on FRP strengthening, neural networks for structural monitoring, and composite buckling behavior.
