Łukasz Hojdys

Łukasz Hojdys is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Reinforced Concrete and Prestressed Concrete Structures, Faculty of Civil Engineering at Cracow University of Technology. His research focuses on structural engineering, sustainable materials, and masonry rehabilitation, with a particular emphasis on experimental testing of composites and seismic protection systems. He leads projects involving geopolymer concretes, FRP composites, and flexible joint technologies for enhancing the resilience of historical and modern masonry structures.

Research interests include: masonry structures, FRP composites, seismic retrofitting, sustainable construction materials, experimental mechanics, and building rehabilitation. Key areas of innovation involve the use of recycled materials in ultra-high-performance concretes and polyurethane-based systems for reversible strengthening.

His work demonstrates trends in sustainable material development (e.g., geopolymer mortars with natural fibers) and seismic resilience solutions (e.g., flexible interfaces for brick-infilled RC frames).
