Giovanni Fattore is a Full Professor at the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Università Bocconi. He holds a Degree in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi, a Master of Science in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University, and a PhD in Social Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He previously held research positions at Harvard School of Public Health and LSE Health and Social Care.
His research focuses on health policy, healthcare management, nutrition economics, AI governance in healthcare, and the societal impacts of loneliness. He is affiliated with CERGAS and F Dondena institutes. Fattore has served as Department Chair from 2012–2015 and is Past-President of the Italian Association of Health Economics. He contributes to multiple editorial boards, including Health Policy, Health Policy Economics and Law, and Pharmacoeconomics.
His recent work explores governance of AI in healthcare, health system reforms, and the economic analysis of nutrition policies. He has published extensively on health inequalities, cost-effectiveness studies, and the role of private equity in healthcare sectors.
Fattore teaches courses on healthcare systems, policy analysis, and empirical research methods at Bocconi. His interdisciplinary approach bridges economics, public policy, and health sciences.
