Giovanni Fosti is an Associate Professor of Practice in Welfare and Social Innovation at SDA Bocconi School of Management and an Adjunct Professor of Public Administration Economics and Management at Università Bocconi. He held director roles for Master programs including EMMAP, EMMEL, and MMP between 2006-2013. As Head of the 'Social Policy and Service Management' Area at CERGAS (2011-2018), he led research on public governance and welfare systems.
Education: Degree in Business Administration from Università Bocconi.
Research focuses on innovation in welfare systems, public governance, healthcare partnerships, and service network management. Key interests include co-production of public services, strategic management in social sectors, and aging population challenges.
Publications emphasize long-term care sustainability, social service management, and institutional arrangements in healthcare. Recent works analyze LTC sectors, elderly care trends, and policy frameworks in Italy.
Received the 2021 Teaching Award from SDA Bocconi. His work involves collaborations with regional governments, healthcare providers, and non-profits to design innovative service models and improve public sector efficiency.
