Giovanni Fosti serves as Associate Professor of Practice in Welfare and Social Innovation at SDA Bocconi School of Management (Bocconi University) and Adjunct Professor of Public Administration Economics and Management at Università Bocconi. His leadership includes directing the Executive Master in Management of Public Administration (EMMAP, 2009-2013), Executive Master in Management degli Enti Locali (EMMEL, 2008-2010), and Master in Management Pubblico (MMP, 2006-2009), alongside heading CERGAS's Social Policy and Service Management Area (2011-2018).
His academic foundation comprises a Business Administration degree from Università Bocconi.
Professor Fosti's research critically examines welfare system innovation, public governance structures, and service integration in social and healthcare contexts. His work emphasizes strategic network management, co-production with citizens, and institutional arrangements for sustainable service delivery, particularly within Italy's evolving welfare landscape.
Recent publications (2024-2025) reveal concentrated focus on Long Term Care systems, analyzing national integration challenges, sustainability frameworks, and Lombardy-specific residential care trends. These works consistently highlight cross-sectoral interdependencies and strategic coordination needs in elderly care provision.
