Elisabetta Notarnicola is an Associate Professor of Practice at the SDA Bocconi School of Management and coordinates research initiatives at CERGAS (Center for Research on Social Welfare). She specializes in social care policies, integrated care systems, and public accounting. Her roles include teaching in master programs (MIMS, MIMHEP, EMMAS) and executive education focused on healthcare and social sectors.
Education: MSc in Management of Public Administration from Università Bocconi and PhD in Management and Innovation from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. Professional qualifications include chartered public accountant and statutory auditor.
Research focuses on long-term care (LTC) policy, network governance, and innovation in social services. She leads the Social Policy & Innovation research area at CERGAS and directs the Observatory on Long Term Care. Key interests include service design, collaborative economies in welfare, and evidence-based policy-making.
Publications include books like Il welfare e la Long Term Care in Europa (2014) and Il cambiamento nel welfare locale (2019), as well as peer-reviewed articles in journals like Health Policy and Social Policy & Administration. Regular contributor to the OASI Report on Italian healthcare policies.
