Giovanni Fattore is a Full Professor of Health Policy at Bocconi University and SDA Bocconi School of Management. With expertise in health policy, applied health economics, and healthcare management, he has served as Director of the Policy Analysis & Public Management Department (now Social and Political Sciences) at Bocconi and as Deputy Director of CERGAS.
- Education: Laurea in Economics (Bocconi University), MSc in Public Health (Harvard School of Public Health), PhD in Social Policy (London School of Economics).
His research focuses on health policy analysis, economic evaluation of healthcare/nutrition interventions, and health planning & management, with recent studies exploring decentralized cancer care, AI integration in public health, and collaborative governance models. Publications include analyses on influenza mortality, integrated care scaling, and environmental impacts of healthcare systems.
His recent articles highlight trends in health services research, particularly around health equity, digital health, and policy implementation. He has contributed to journals including Health Policy, BMC Infectious Diseases, and Health Services Management Research.
Giovanni has led research units for European Commission-funded projects and worked with international organizations like the OECD, WHO, and the World Bank. He is also an Associate Editor for the Health Policy Journal.
