Dennis Llinás is an Associate Professor of Conducting at the School of Music and Dance, University of Oregon. He previously served as Associate Professor of Music and Associate Director of Bands at Louisiana State University (LSU), where he conducted the LSU Symphonic Winds and directed the Tiger Band. Prior to LSU, he worked at The University of Texas at Austin, focusing on marching bands, wind ensembles, and chamber music, and taught at Miami Coral Park Senior High School and W. Charles Akins High School earlier in his career.

He has composed works like Waking Dreams and Javier’s Dialog, performed by prestigious ensembles globally. As a clinician, he has conducted honor bands in the U.S., guest-conducted the Dallas Winds, and presented at international conventions such as WASBE and The Midwest Clinic.

He also designed marching band shows for Estefan Enterprises, including collaborations with the Miami Dolphins and Florida Marlins.
