Tyler Ehrlich is an incoming Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of Wind Studies at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), where he will conduct the Wind Ensemble and teach conducting, literature, and music education courses. Previously, he served as a graduate teaching assistant and doctoral student in wind conducting at The University of Texas at Austin, assisting with concert bands, athletic bands, and conducting courses. He holds a DMA from UT Austin, an MM from the University of Georgia, and a BA summa cum laude from Cornell University.

Research & Interests: Ehrlich focuses on wind conducting pedagogy, cultural equity in music, and the orchestration of marginalized composers’ works. He has transcribed Margaret Bonds’ Spiritual Suite, the first commercially available wind band arrangement of her music. His work addresses cultural appropriation in band programming and promotes underrepresented composers.

- Arranger, producer, and presenter at conferences like Midwest Clinic and CBA National Conference
