Dr. Dae Seok Chai is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Administration & Human Resource Development at Texas A&M University's School of Education and Human Development. His research focuses on expatriation effectiveness, international HRD, and postsecondary STEM workforce development. He holds a Ph.D. from Texas A&M (2016), an M.Ed. from the University of Minnesota (2008), and a B.S. in Business Education from the University of Georgia (2006). He has earned certifications in Advanced Research Methods, Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR), and College Teaching.
Dr. Chai's research has been recognized with awards including the Academy of Human Resource Development's Early Career Scholar Award and the University Council's Outstanding Assistant Professor Award. He is a sought-after speaker and consultant, working with organizations like Hyundai Automobile and the Korean Ministry of Employment and Labor.
His current roles include Associate Editor of Human Resource Development International (2024–2027) and Board Member of the Academy of Human Resource Development (2023–2026). He leads interdisciplinary research initiatives such as NSF-funded projects on generative AI in education and community-engaged learning programs.
Teaching focuses include courses on organizational change leadership, statistics, and training program design. Recent research explores AI applications in education and organizational development, reflecting his commitment to advancing HRD through innovative methodologies.
