Dr. Yonjoo Cho is a Professor in the Department of Human Resource Development at the University of Texas at Tyler. She holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology from the University of Texas at Austin, and master's and bachelor's degrees in Sociology and Education from Yonsei University (South Korea). Her research focuses on action learning, international HRD, and women's leadership challenges, particularly in South Korea. Dr. Cho has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Human Resource Development Review (2020-2023), a journal with a high impact factor (6.4). She teaches Ph.D. and online master’s courses using innovative pedagogies like project-based learning to enhance student employability.
Her academic journey includes faculty roles at Indiana University (2008-2020) and leadership in HRD education.
