Dr. Bruno Dyck is a Full Professor and holder of the Norman Frohlich Professorship in Business Sustainability at the I.H. Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. His research focuses on Social and Ecological Thought (SET) Management, emphasizing people and planetary well-being over profit maximization. He teaches courses in sustainability, organizational theory, and management at undergraduate, MBA, and PhD levels. His work bridges business ethics, organizational change, and religious values, with notable contributions to textbooks like Management: Financial, Social, and Ecological Well-Being (2018), awarded the 2019 Best Book Prize by the International Humanistic Management Association.
Education: PhD in Business (1990) from the University of Alberta, with a dissertation on organizational change models. BCom (Honours) from the University of Manitoba.
Research interests include sustainable supply chain management, intercultural competence, small-scale farming sustainability, and the intersection of spirituality and management. He has produced the documentary Beyond Profit: Seeking Sustainability (2024) and contributed to global NGOs like MEDA in Bolivia. Active in academic service, he co-founded the ASAC OMT interest group and chairs its Organizational Theory division.
Awards: 2019 Best Book Award, multiple international accolades for research and teaching. Grants and partnerships include work with not-for-profits focusing on sustainable innovations in low-income regions.
