Marc-David L. Seidel is the RBC Financial Group Professor of Entrepreneurship and Associate Professor in the Organizational Behavior and Human Resources (OBHR) Division at the UBC Sauder School of Business. He directs the W. Maurice Young Centre for Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Research and is a HIBAR Research Alliance Fellow. He previously served as Associate Editor of Administrative Science Quarterly and Division Chair of the Academy of Management OMT Division.
He holds a BA and MBA from Cornell University, and an MS and PhD from the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on innovation ecosystems, distributed trust technologies, and the impact of early life experiences on workplace outcomes. Key areas include C-Form organizations, social networks in decision-making, and family business dynamics.
His recent work explores AI-driven entrepreneurial ecosystems, pandemic-driven organizational shifts, and venture capital culture critiques. Notable contributions include studies on caste divides in organizational networks and blockchain's role in trust decentralization.
