Zhenyu Wu is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Finance at the I.H. Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. He holds the Canada Research Chair (Tier II) in Entrepreneurship & Innovation and the IG Wealth Management Chair in Leadership Research. His research focuses on entrepreneurship, family business management, corporate governance, and small business finance. Dr. Wu earned his Ph.D. (Finance), MBA (Finance), and MA (Economics) from the University of Calgary before joining the University of Manitoba in 2011.
He serves as an Associate/Subject Editor for Emerging Markets Review, European Journal of Finance, and Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, and contributes to editorial boards for Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and Family Business Review. His work examines family firm valuations, corporate social performance, bribery dynamics, and gender effects in financing, appearing in top-tier journals like the Financial Times-50 list.
