Anthony Giddens is a distinguished Professor of Sociology and Life Fellow of King's College, Cambridge. He served as Director of the London School of Economics (LSE) from 1999 to 2003 and is a Member of the House of Lords. In 2016, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by Goldsmiths, University of London. His academic career includes teaching at the University of Leicester and Cambridge, alongside his role as a global advisor to political leaders.
