Adair Turner

Lord Adair Turner is a Visiting Professor at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He chairs the Energy Transitions Commission, a global coalition working on pathways to limit global warming to below 2°C by 2040, and holds leadership roles in insurance, banking, and battery production sectors. His expertise spans energy transition, macroeconomics, financial regulation, and climate policy.

He is an author of influential works such as Between Debt and the Devil (2015) and Economics after the Crisis (2012).

His research focuses on net-zero energy transitions, macroeconomic policy, and financial system resilience. He also contributes regularly to public debates on economic and environmental issues.
