Achilles Liarmakopoulos is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Trombone at the Conservatory of Music within the School of Visual, Media and Performing Arts. As an award-winning trombonist, he has performed globally with the Canadian Brass and Pink Martini, and served as principal trombone of the Greek Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Liarmakopoulos specializes in brass performance, with a focus on Latin American music and collaborative ensembles. His debut solo album Tango Distinto (2011) celebrates Astor Piazzolla's compositions, and he continues to advocate for works by Latin American composers. His performance history spans recitals and concerts in China, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Austria, Finland, Greece, and the United States.
