Rudi Batzell is an Associate Professor of History at Lake Forest College, specializing in 19th-century U.S. history, political economy, and global comparative history. His research bridges labor movements, state formation, and social inequality across the United States, Britain, and Japan. He holds a PhD from Harvard University, an MPhil from Cambridge University, and a BA from Columbia University.
