MaryAnn Snyder-Körber is a Professor of American Cultural Studies at the Department of American Studies, University of Würzburg. Her work bridges modernization processes, media ecologies, and cultural production, with a focus on small forms like anecdotes and transnational networked cultures. Chair of American Studies Co-Initiator of JMU Cultural Studies Faculty Advisor for Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes Research interests include gender discourses, feminist theory, and the aesthetics of late modernism. She collaborates internationally, notably with Prof. Dr. Simi Malhotra on the DAAD/UGC-funded project Mobile Feminisms: Gender, Social Media, Transnational Interactions . Her recent publications explore the intersections of literature, digital media, and interdisciplinary methodologies. Key projects include the JMU Cultural Studies publication series and the online exhibition Monuments & Memory . Teaching initiatives include transnational seminars with Flagler College and the Cultural Studies Colloquium , fostering public humanities outreach and peer collaboration.
