Ivan Morison is a Tutor of Sculpture at the Royal College of Art (RCA), School of Arts & Humanities. His teaching focuses on enabling students to deeply engage with their creative practices, blending art, architecture, and theatre. He is part of the Sites & Situations Research Cluster, exploring physical territories and political contexts through interdisciplinary art practices.
Research Interests: Ivan’s work examines how individuals and societies navigate catastrophe and personal calamity, with a focus on sacred and therapeutic spaces. Current projects include permanent care centers in London and Liverpool, a beachside building eroded by tides, a forest temple, and a mobile observatory. His practice merges architecture, sculpture, and site-specific installations to address themes of refuge, civic communities, and environmental transformation.
