Christopher Land is a Professor of Management at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), affiliated with the Faculty of Business and Law. His expertise spans Business Management, Human Resources, Organisational Behaviour, Strategy, and Work-life Balance. He holds a PhD from the University of Warwick, alongside an MA and BA from Warwick and Bradford Universities respectively. His research focuses on the future of work, value theory, and sustainable production, with projects examining Industry 5.0 innovations and tribal empowerment in coffee farming. He has held academic positions at multiple institutions, including Leicester, Essex, St Gallen, Innsbruck, and Warwick.
Research interests include neo-craft movements, ethical business models, and the cultural imaginaries of work. He teaches modules on technological change, organizational behavior, and leadership. Current grants include a Horizon EU-funded Industry 5.0 project and a British Council initiative on sustainable coffee production. He collaborates internationally and serves on editorial boards for journals like Organization Studies and ephemera.
Publications span organizational theory, sustainability, and critical management studies. He is a Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, emphasizing practical academic engagement. His consultancy work addresses organizational culture, leadership, and group dynamics.
