Dr. Khalegh Barati is a Lecturer at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering , University of New South Wales, specializing in construction automation, sustainability, and optimization. His research spans technologies like IoT, BIM, and machine learning to enhance construction efficiency and safety. Ph.D. in Construction Engineering and Management (UNSW, 2018) M.Sc. in Construction Engineering and Management (Sharif University, 2013) B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (University of Isfahan, 2010) His research interests focus on Automation in Construction , Data Sensing and Monitoring , Modularisation and Prefabrication , and Sustainability Issues . Recent work includes thermal load optimization in residential buildings, real-time safety monitoring in mining, and AI-driven progress tracking via BIM and laser scanning. His publications emphasize emissions modeling , energy efficiency , and construction productivity , with a notable Top 10 Best Conference Paper Award (ISARC2015) . He supervises over 10 students in the AICON Laboratory and teaches CVEN4050 Thesis A and CVEN4051 Thesis B .
