Richard Hofler is Professor of Economics at the University of Central Florida's College of Business, Department of Economics. His major research focuses on econometrics and health economics, with work funded by the National Science Foundation, National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, and Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. He has served as Department Chair and Interim Dean. Hofler's research examines economic efficiency in healthcare systems, health disparities in rural populations, and econometric modeling techniques. His recent articles analyze accountable care organizations, rural health outcomes, and statistical methods for count data analysis.
